Identifying partners and interested parties

Our next step is to develop a collaborative vision and discussion document with the community. This will guide goals and methods for the project and feed into a feasibility assessment. We wish to identify community and organisational representatives who are interested in being involved in developing this. If you, or someone you know, has strong community connections and is interested in being involved in the project please let us know.

Trapping

If you would like to help and live in Blackball, Taylorville, Cobden, Runanga, Punakaiki, Carters Beach, or another smaller township inside the project area, please consider starting backyard trapping at your place - and maybe talk to your neighbours too!
See the Predator Free 2050 Trust website for more trapping information and shop.

Landowners

If you live and own land within the project area it would be great to hear if you would consider allowing predator control on your property for the project. This would be either traps or bait stations and would only be done after a full discussion and agreement by you.

Lend a hand

Let us know if you are keen to be involved with the project. We are particularly interested in people who can help us with organising backyard trapping in townships, and promoting or educating others about the project. If you feel you can help in any of these areas, we would love to hear from you.
